Notes:

In my career, I learned that people don't really want their problems solved. Bosses don't want you to lose their job for them. I got very tired of solving problems for people who didn't actually want their problems solved. Everybody look busy. The boss is coming.

Gerry Weinberg says: In spite of what your client may tell you, there's always a problem., and No matter how it looks at first, it's always a people problem.

When I went to Switzerland in 1986, Tom Lyon said something very wise to me: You'll never be rich. I think that's true. I am much more interested in solving problems than getting rich. I have enough money to be able to drop a few $K when I want on what I want, but I don't own a jet and never will -- although I wouldn't turn down Tesla Roadster if one dropped in my lap. :-)
